I never imagined myself clocking in at the local steel mill. Not in high school, not in college. But after being pushed through a school system that never prepared me for real life, that’s exactly where I landed. Spun out, disoriented, and unsure how it had all gone wrong.
No one told me that the system was never designed to prepare me—only to process me.
But I had one advantage: a strong family foundation in doing what’s right. That’s what kept me grounded. That’s what pushed me to ask the deeper questions. And that’s what led me to this path: making sure no one else falls through the same cracks.
